  1. National Museum, Delhi — Most Iconic Museum in India

Also known as the National Museum of India, the National Museum in New Delhi is one of the largest museums in India, situated on the corner of the Janpath and Maulana Azad Road. Established in 1949, the blueprints of the majestic repository were prepared by the Gwyer Committee set up by the Government of India in 1946. Today, the museum boasts of possessing a whopping 200,000 artworks, both Indian and foreign, and is maintained by the Ministry of Culture, Department of India. An ancient museum that displays the decorative arts collection of the 19th century, Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum was opened to the public on May 2, 1872, and at that time it was known as Victoria and Albert Museum. 10. Napier Museum Trivandrum

Constructed in the 19th century, Napier Museum is the oldest museum perched in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. It got its name from Lord Napier, who was the Governor of Madras.
